Revamped site features new look, more information, easier navigation
San Francisco— Spanish-language speakers can now more easily find up-to-date oral health information and personal benefit details, thanks to an updated website launched by a group of Delta Dental companies.
The Spanish-language site for Delta Dental of California, Delta Dental of Pennsylvania, Delta Dental Insurance Company and their affiliates now more closely mirrors their English-language site, providing access in Spanish to corporate news, dental health and benefits information. Redesigned for easier viewing of products and services, the site also is easier for users to navigate and includes many links to handy web services.
Spanish is the third most popular language in the world among Internet users, according to Internet World Stats, which researches online usage and language statistics. In addition, nearly 20 percent – or about 8 million – of all Spanish speakers in the U.S. visit the Internet.
“We’ve made it easier to find what might be termed ‘critical benefit information’ that our Spanish speakers can use to make the most of Delta Dental benefits,” said Solomon Romano, Hispanic marketing manager for the group of Delta Dental companies. “And while we provide important information to all our constituents – enrollees, providers, brokers, employers and benefits administrators, as well as the general public – we’ve gone a step beyond by adding more of it in Spanish as well as in English.”
The revamped site, at www.deltadentalins.com/espanol, continues to allow enrollees easy access to many customized details about their Delta Dental plan, such as benefits, eligibility and claims status. Access to the provider directory and other web-based tools remain unchanged.
Delta Dental of California, Delta Dental of New York, Delta Dental of Pennsylvania and several other Delta Dental companies under common management provide dental benefits plans to 24 million people in 15 states plus the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. All are part of the Delta Dental Plans Association (DDPA), based in Oak Brook, Ill., which consists of 39 Delta Dental member companies licensed in all 50 states. The association collectively covers 54 million of the 174 million people nationwide with private dental insurance, making it by far the largest national system of dental plans.
