Some
popular summer sports — such as swimming and softball — can expose your
teeth to danger. Here are several seasonal activities that could lead to
dental injuries and
ways to keep your smile safe.
Smoking can lead to more root canals
Cigarette smokers are nearly twice as likely to
need root canal treatment,
according to a recent study.
Teens and teeth whitening
Without dentist supervision, do-it-yourself
teeth whitening kits can do
more harm than good to a teen’s teeth.
Does your spouse have dental coverage?
If you’re fortunate enough to be covered by two dental plans, you have
what is called
dual
coverage. While it doesn’t mean your benefits are doubled, dual
coverage can lead to lower out-of-pocket costs.
