National Children’s Dental Health Month
Be sure to check out the
“Kids & teens”
area in the Oral Health section of our web site.
We’ve got resources to help you learn about caring for your children’s teeth and articles
on everything from baby bottle tooth decay, to teens and teeth whitening, to our newest
article about how to make sure your child gets enough calcium even if he or she
won’t drink milk.
New enrollees: learn more about your benefits
New to Delta Dental? Or maybe you’d just like to refresh your memory
about your dental benefits? We’ve written an
easy guide
to help you learn more about the tools and services available to you and your family.
Oral health gives clues about eating disorders
National Eating Disorders Awareness Week runs February 22-28 and is a good opportunity to educate yourself
not only about the general health issues associated with
eating disorders,
but also the potential oral health problems that eating disorders can cause.
Overbrushing: Too much of a good thing
Brushing your teeth is good for you, so brushing your teeth
vigorously must be even better, right? Not so, according to dentists. In an attempt to get your teeth
really clean, you may be
overbrushing
(that is, brushing too hard and too long) and doing more harm
than good.
Delta Dental of California, Delta Dental of Pennsylvania and Delta Dental Insurance Company
together with our affiliate companies represent one of the country's largest dental benefits delivery
systems, administering benefits to 23 million people in 15 states plus the District of
Columbia and Puerto Rico.
