Demand for Delta Dental PPO is growing
Why? Benefits purchasers are becoming more cost-conscious, but want to retain the flexibility that allows individuals to select the dentist of their choice. Delta Dental PPO helps you preserve and expand your patient base by:

  • Attracting additional Delta Dental PPO patients. Delta Dental PPO offers comprehensive fee-for-service benefits to more than two million enrollees.
  • Retaining current patients whose employers have switched to a Delta Dental PPO program. Most Delta Dental PPO patients receive a higher level of benefits and have lower out-of-pocket expenses when they visit a Delta Dental PPO dentist.
  • Fill chair time with fee-for-service patients
  • Promote your practice through listings in our annual Delta Dental PPO dentist directory, online dentist directory and our toll-free telephone directory service.
  • Delta endodontists, periodontists and oral surgeons are automatically enrolled, and are paid based on their usual Delta Dental fees. Delta Dental PPO patients receive a higher level of benefits and have lower out-of-pocket expenses when they visit one of these specialists.

Delta Dental PPO can help you maximize your revenues because:

  • Your treatment is reimbursed on a fee-for-service basis. Payment is based on the lesser of your Delta Allowance or the Delta Dental PPO schedule.
  • You can attract and retain Delta Dental PPO patients because most Delta Dental PPO programs offer built-in-incentives to visit Delta Dental PPO dentists. Depending on the group program, your Delta Dental PPO patients can enjoy higher benefit levels, greater maximums, lower deductibles and/or other incentives to go to a Delta Dental PPO dentist.
  • You can refer patients to specialists without penalty or preapproval.
  • You still charge your regular fees to your other Delta Dental patients.
  • Delta endodontists, periodontists and oral surgeons are automatically enrolled, and are paid based on their usual Delta fees.

Your office staff will appreciate these conveniences:

  • No special claim forms. Use the same ones as for other Delta Dental patients or submit electronically.
  • No separate bookkeeping. If you find it easier, you can submit your regular fee rather than the Delta Dental PPO fee on the claim. Delta will make the adjustment for you and pay based on the lesser of your Delta Allowance or the fee shown on the Delta Dental PPO schedule.
  • No eligibility lists. Delta now offers many ways to check eligibility and benefits information:
    • Online. Just register (if you haven't already) and log in to view patient eligibility, benefits and claim information.
    • Delta Information Access Line (DIAL), our toll-free automated telephone inquiry service.
    • BeneFax: faxed eligibility and benefit summaries for up to five patients with one toll-free call.
