Find a dentist outside the U.S. Through our partnership with International SOS Assistance, Inc. (I-SOS), Delta Dental enrollees can obtain referrals to 3,200 dentists and dental clinics in nearly 200 countries. To find an international dentist, either: Login (at left) and search our international directory; or Call the I-SOS 24 hour referral service. Call toll-free from inside the U.S.: 800-523-6586 Call collect from outside the U.S.: 215-942-8226 English-speaking I-SOS operators are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to answer questions and help you find an I-SOS dentist. Please note, when you call I-SOS from outside the U.S., you must first dial the international dialing code from the country you are located in (“00” in most countries) and then the country code for the U.S. (dial “1”). Be sure to tell the I-SOS operator that you’re a Delta Dental enrollee and that you’re calling collect. You can download and print a wallet-sized card with I-SOS calling information so that you always have it handy. Back to top What kind of coverage do I have? It is important to note that I-SOS dentists are not contracted Delta Dental dentists. Therefore, reimbursement for services is based on the out-of-network benefits provided through your plan. Enrollees visiting an I-SOS dentist receive the same benefits and are subject to the same limitations and exclusions when visiting a non-contracted dentist in the U.S. Delta Dental Premier or Delta Dental PPO enrollees who visit a dentist referred by I-SOS are responsible for paying in full at the time of service and submitting a claim to Delta Dental for reimbursement. DeltaCare USA enrollees are covered under their plan's out-of-area emergency benefit. You do, and you will need to pay in full at the time of service. Be sure to get a detailed receipt so you can submit a claim directly to Delta Dental for reimbursement of the covered portion. Once we receive your claim, we will reimburse you according to the non-Delta Dental dentist benefit (for Delta Dental PPO and Delta Dental Premier) or out-of-area emergency benefit (for DeltaCare USA) provided through your plan. As with any dental plan, this reimbursement may not cover your entire cost. Back to top How do I submit a claim? You can download and print a claim form from the Enrollee page of our web site. You should submit this claim form with your detailed receipt, which must include the dentist’s name, address (including city/country), services performed and a list of the teeth treated. The receipt also should indicate the currency in which the dentist billed (whether in U.S. dollars or another currency). When submitting non-English receipts or dental records, please try to translate as much information as possible into English or provide a patient statement in English, detailing the treatment received.
