Delta Dental is one of the nation's largest and most experienced dental benefits carriers,
with almost 50 years of experience. We are committed to providing exceptional service
and an extensive network of providers for you to choose from.
Delta Dental Plan
Members who have elected the Delta Dental Plan are given three options
for selecting a dental provider. Each option provides coverage for the
same types of services, but costs may differ, based on the dental provider's
network status.
- Delta Dental PPO Plan. For the lowest out-of-pocket expense,
a member can visit a PPO network provider. PPO level benefits are available
from more than 13,000 PPO offices in California. Significant cost savings
are available when visiting a dentist in the PPO network due to negotiated
lower fees on services.
- DeltaPremier. Considerable savings are also available when using a
DeltaPremier provider. A member's out-of-pocket expense may be greater than
when using a PPO provider.
- Non-Delta Dental Providers. A member may elect to receive services from any
licensed dental provider. Providers who don’t participate in the Delta Dental
network generally charge fees that are higher than those charged by providers
participating in the network, resulting in higher out-of-pocket costs.
DeltaCare® USA Dental Plan
Members who have elected DeltaCare USA Dental Plan are participating in
a managed dental care plan. This means they will receive all their services only from
dentists in the DeltaCare USA network. When necessary, the member's primary care dentist
will make a referral to other dentists within the network. Pre-authorization from the
plan is required for major services.
DeltaCare USA plans offer:
- For most general services, no deductible and no annual maximum
- No copayments for most diagnostic and preventive services
- A conveniently located network of private and group dental offices
- Coverage in many states
