Important: Alternate ID information
In an effort to safeguard your privacy, effective 7/1/2007 Northrop Grumman Corporation and Delta Dental have implemented the use of alternative ID for all enrollee correspondence and identification. To obtain your new alternative ID number, you may call Delta Dental’s Customer Service Department at 800-765-6003. Or, you may print an ID card by using our online benefits and eligibility system. Just log in by entering your user name and password in the area at the top left of this page. If you do not have a user name and password, click the link to register. You should use your alternative ID number when your visit your dentist.
Using alternative ID numbers will help reduce the risk of identity theft. Your alternative ID numbers are subject to the same privacy protections as social security numbers under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) Privacy Rule. Click here for more information about Delta Dental’s HIPAA compliance, including our Privacy Statement.
While you may continue to use your SSN, you may want to advise your dental office of your new ID at your next visit. (You may then use either your SSN or your alternative ID number). Remember, when you visit a Delta Dentist, you don’t need to present your ID card. Simply provide your alternative ID or your SSN to the office.

Delta Dental will notify you if you are eligible for this special out-of-area converge.
