Delta Dental offers Peoples Health Members access to one of the largest dental networks in the country.
The directories above contain the names of Peoples Health, Delta Dental Premier® and Delta Dental PPOSM dentists in your state.
You may obtain treatment from any licensed dentist, but only Peoples Health network dentists agreed to accept Delta Dental’s payment and your copayment as payment in full. You may have to pay higher costs to see the Delta Dental Premier® and Delta Dental PPOSM dentists listed in this directory and any non Delta Dental provider.
Choosing a Peoples Health Network Dentist results in the lowest out-of-pocket cost.
You may choose a Peoples Health network dentist or a non-network dentist. You should always confirm with the dentist’s office that he/she is still in the Peoples Health network.
Obtaining covered services from a network dentist potentially gives you the greatest reduction in out-of-pocket expenses. This is because network dentists have an agreement with Delta Dental to provide Peoples Health with dental benefits for a pre-determined set of costs outlined in your plan Evidence of Coverage.
The other Delta Dental providers listed in this directory have not agreed to accept the same payment as your Peoples Health network dentists. They may bill you for the difference between what Delta Dental pays and what they charge for that service. This means they may charge you more for the same services as the Peoples Health network dentists.
Non-Delta Dental dentists do not have a contract with Delta Dental and therefore can bill you for the difference between what Delta Dental pays them and what is owed to them. If you select a non-Delta Dental dentist, you may be responsible for the entire dental bill at the time of treatment and can receive reimbursement for any covered amounts from Delta Dental after the services are rendered.
Your benefit booklet lists your benefits, limitations and exclusions, and explains coinsurance costs.
This directory is current as of December 2, 2009. Please note that it is subject to change without notice. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you ask your dentist about his or her current status with Peoples Health and the Delta Dental network before making your appointment.
If you experience any problems with a Peoples Health or a Delta Dental dentist, a written explanation should be sent to the following address:
