Gary D. Radine

Gary D. Radine is president and CEO of Delta Dental of California, Delta Dental of Pennsylvania, and the holding company system, which consists of those two companies and their affiliates in a total of 16 states plus the District of Columbia.

In the nearly three years since taking over the holding company system, membership for the enterprise has grown to more than 20 million, making it one of the nation's largest integrated dental benefit systems under single management. During that time, Mr. Radine has spearheaded a multi-year technology overhaul to provide a common platform throughout the enterprise; centralized advertising and marketing initiatives to increase brand recognition across the enterprise's fastest growing regions; and consolidated claims processing operations, thereby significantly reducing administrative costs, increasing hours of service and achieving integrated backup processing and business recovery capabilities for all enterprise regions at multiple locations.

A 25-year veteran of the Delta system, Mr. Radine holds a bachelor's degree in public relations from San Jose State University and a master's degree in applied behavioral sciences from California State University-Dominguez Hills. He has also completed postgraduate work at the University of Georgia and Stanford University. For eight years prior to his joining the Delta system, Mr. Radine served as dental care director for the California Dental Association.
