Choosing A Plan

We have a plan that’s right for you.

The AARP® Dental Insurance Plan, administered by the Delta Dental Insurance Company, now offers more options to provide you with the best possible combination of benefits to meet your needs, with cost savings to fit your budget.

Delta Dental DPO
Our two DPO options offer the widest range of covered services—including three cleanings per Calendar Year and dental implants¹, plus the freedom to visit any licensed dentist in the country. Servies are covered as a copayment percentage, with that percentage varying depending on the plan option you select. For example, with one option, fillings are covered at 80 percent while the other option covers them at 50 percent. There are no waiting periods for the most common procedures. However, coverage for services such as crowns, bridges, and dentures begins after 12 months of continuous enrollment.

DeltaCare® USA DHMO
Our newest option is a dental HMO that covers more than 250 procedures, with no or low copayments for most diagnostic and preventive services. There are no exclusions for pre-existing conditions, no waiting periods, and covered procedures have fixed dollar copayments. For instance, you may pay $65 for a tooth-colored filling (D2391). This plan requires that you select a primary care dentist from the DeltaCare USA network.
