Delta Dental names Stephen Adamson vice president of Contact Center

San Francisco/Alpharetta, Ga. — Delta Dental Insurance Company, Delta Dental of California and their affiliates today announced the hiring of Stephen Adamson as vice president, Enterprise Contact Center.
In his new role, Adamson will be responsible for call center activities supporting the companies’ nearly 25 million enrollees. Based in Alpharetta, Georgia, he will also oversee call center operations in Pennsylvania and California.
Most recently, Adamson served as senior vice president of national operations and western region vice president at Meritain Health. His prior experience includes vice president of enterprise business operations at USAA and director of operations at Capital One, as well as 14 years with AT&T.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in Operations from California Polytechnic University in Pomona, Calif., and holds a Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
Delta Dental Insurance Company, Delta Dental of California and several other companies under common management provide dental benefits to nearly 25 million people in 15 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. All part of the Delta Dental Plans Association (DDPA), based in Oak Brook, Ill., and which consists of 39 Delta Dental member companies licensed in all 50 states. The association collectively covers nearly 54 million of the 176 million people nationwide with private dental insurance, making it by far the largest national system of dental plans.
