Delta Dental rolls out enhancements to DeltaCare® USA plans in four states
Popular dental HMO-type plan offers additional covered procedures, varied plan designs
August 19, 2011
San Francisco — A growing number of employers offer a dental HMO-type plan as part of their employee benefits package. To offer a greater variety of plan and price options, a group of Delta Dental companies today rolled out several enhancements to its current DeltaCare® USA product, a prepaid/dental HMO program, in four states.
Up to nine new DeltaCare USA plans now are available to employers in California, Florida, Georgia and New York. The plans increase choices for these employers — especially for those offering dual-choice and flexible dual–choice plans — and include more benefits for patients, such as adult fluoride treatments and up to 19 additional covered procedures, depending on the plan chosen. In addition to the new plan designs, other lower–cost DeltaCare USA plans also are available to group purchasers in those states.
”The DeltaCare USA family of programs is designed to meet the pricing needs of employers and enrollees alike, while providing a wider range of benefits with no annual maximum,“ said Belinda Martinez, Delta Dental’s senior vice president for Sales. ”Enrollees simply visit their selected provider for all their dental care, and pay set copayments for covered services. This makes it easy for the enrollee to budget for and control the out–of–pocket costs associated with their dental care.“
Relying on a carefully selected network of more than 16,000 dental facilities nationwide, DeltaCare USA provides coverage for more than 300 dental procedures, including orthodontics for children and adults on selected plans; most diagnostic and basic restorative services are covered at little or no cost to the enrollee. There is no annual deductible, annual maximum or waiting period, as is typically the case with traditional fee–for–service and PPO dental plans. In addition, all DeltaCare USA dentists undergo a comprehensive credentialing process to ensure they meet Delta Dental’s quality standards.
DeltaCare USA is offered in California by Delta Dental of California; in New York by Delta Dental of New York, Inc.; and in Florida and Georgia by Delta Dental Insurance Company. More information about DeltaCare USA and other Delta Dental products may be found at deltadentalins.com.
