Delta Dental selected as dental benefits administrator for State of Montana employees

May 23, 2012

Delta Dental Insurance Company announced today its selection as the new dental benefits administrator for State of Montana employees, effective January 1, 2013.

Delta Dental will process dental claims, provide customer service, manage provider networks and deliver related services to the 34,000 employees, retirees, and other individuals covered under the dental program. Upon transitioning to Delta Dental, State of Montana enrollees will have freedom of choice in their selection of dental professionals and also will have access to Delta Dental’s statewide and national PPO and fee-for-service dentist networks.

“We’re pleased to win this bid and the confidence of the State of Montana,” said Belinda Martinez, Delta Dental’s senior vice president of Sales. “As part of the nation’s largest dental benefits system, we know that long-term success depends not just on the client’s selection, but on how we respond to service needs and on the size and strength of our dentist networks that serve our enrollees.”

Delta Dental Insurance Company, which covers an additional 44,000 enrollees in Montana, is part of the Delta Dental Plans Association (DDPA), based in Oak Brook, Ill., which consists of 39 Delta Dental member companies licensed in all 50 states. The association collectively covers 59.5 million of the 166 million people nationwide with private dental insurance, making it the largest national system of dental plans.
