Under your Delta Dental plan, you will select a general dentist in the DeltaCare® USA network to provide all primary care. If you don’t have a dentist preference, Delta Dental will select a provider for you. You must visit your selected/assigned primary care dentist in order to receive benefits under your plan. (Learn more about selecting a dentist during open enrollment.)
The DeltaCare USA network consists of private practice dental facilities that have been carefully screened for quality. To find a network dentist near you, use our Find a Dentist tool to search by location, dentist name or practice. You can also call Customer Service for assistance. If you need to see a specialist, your primary care dentist will refer you to one.
You can change your dentist at any time through your Online Services account (register for a free account now) or by calling Customer Service. Changes received by the 21st of the month will become active the first day of the following month.
To check if your current dentist is in the DeltaCare USA network, use our Find a Dentist tool to search by location, dentist name, practice or specialty. You can also ask if he or she has recently joined DeltaCare USA.
If your dentist is not already a DeltaCare USA dentist, you can recommend him or her for participation:
Your plan only provides benefits when you visit your selected DeltaCare USA primary care dentist for covered services. If you choose to visit a different dentist, you will not receive any plan benefits.
