Changing dentists

Our Delta Dental Premier® and Delta Dental PPOSM1 plans give you full control in choosing your dentist. You can see any dentist you wish, and you don't need to tell us if you decide to change dentists. You and your family members are also free to see different dentists if you prefer.

Of course, we encourage you to choose a Delta Dental dentist because you'll enjoy lower out-of-pocket costs and the convenience of having your claim forms handled free of charge by the dental office, but you can choose any dentist, anywhere in the world, and still be covered.

If you are enrolled in DeltaCare® USA, our prepaid dental plan, you must receive treatment from your primary care DeltaCare USA dentist.2 If you are enrolled in a DeltaCare USA plan and wish to change dentists, please call (800) 422-4234. Transfers are usually effective the first day of the following month. You can use our online dentist directory to find a new dentist.
