Planning for major dental work
If you know you'll need major dental work, we can tell you exactly what your share of the cost will be before you receive treatment.
Delta Dental can give you a free estimate, called a "pre-treatment estimate " based on your records and your dentist's proposed treatment plan. We will review your x-rays, diagnosis and coverage, and send a statement back to you and your dentist detailing what Delta Dental will pay and what your costs will be. This service is not available to DeltaCare® USA enrollees.
A pre-treatment estimate is not a guarantee of payment. When the services are complete and a claim is received for payment, Delta Dental will calculate its payment based on your current eligibility, amount remaining in your annual maximum and any deductible requirements.
